These are "misfortunate" images - cherished images that just missed the grade, and need a little help to graduate to the magnetic refrigerator gallery, and perhaps beyond.

If you do not own Curvemeister, you may follow all of these examples in Photoshop, Elements 1, or Elements 2 after installing the Curvemeister demo.

I prefer to use real images from readers. You are invited to join the Curvemeister forum, and submit your own images for possible inclusion in this and other tutorials.

The images used here were supplied by members of the Internet community, including the Usenet photoshop news groups, and the forum.

Take care, and happy curving!

1. Underexposed Images. Rescuing a too-dark image is one of the more hopeful rescue operations in digital photography. It involves two things: making it lighter, and jazzing up the colors. Here's how to do it.

2. Faded Images. Some very valuable images fall victim to the very thing that makes them valuable: their age. The nice thing is, what works for one image may carry over to other images on the same roll.
