- Hue
Clock controls the options affecting the appearance of the data
in new sample panes.
- No Hue Clock specifies that no hue clock is displayed,
only numeric values.
- Clock and Text specifies that both the hue clock and text
values will be displayed.
- Hue Clock Only specifies that only the hue clock will be
visible
- Mini Hue Clock causes a smaller version of the hue clock
to be displayed.
- Hue Clock Uses Lab specifies that the Hue Clock will base
its hue and saturation calculation on the Lab space, instead of
the HSB space. The resulting hue angles are slightly different than
the standard HSB values, but this option has advantages in situations
where stability is required in very dark or light colors.
- Sample Display controls what values
will be displayed in new sample panes, and the number of decimal places
that will be displayed. These options also somewhat affect the creation
of new pins.
- Decimal places controls the number of decimal places that
will be displayed,
- Show Before/After causes the display of channel values
before and after the curve operation.
- Show Std. Deviation causes the standard deviation of each
channel to be displayed. This option is only in effect if Curvemeister's
working space matches the color space of the original image.
- Show Delta E causes a number related
to the color difference between a pin and the image sample value
to be displayed.
- Create New Samples With changes the default settings for new
samples, as well as the initial settings of the "roving" sample
display in the upper right corner of the curve window.
Note: to change existing samples, select the
sample points you want to change, then use the right click menu in the
preview window.
- Sample Size specifies the default sample size in pixels
of the square area that is averaged to calculate the sample value.
You may use this popup list to specify any of several sizes, or
set the size to an unlimited custom value. This sample size has
no effect on the custom sample size, although it is very similar
in function.
- Color Space specifies the default color space used for
new samples, and for the initial value of the roving sample display.
- Color Value Display is a global setting that controls the display
format of the data in the sample pane.
- Advanced options are seldom used options that are provided
for special situations.
- Use Offscreen Buffer specifies that an offscreen memory
buffer should be used for flicker free display of the image. Since
the amount of memory is relatively small, this option should be
unchecked only for systems that are low on memory.
- Update During Drag specifies that dragging a constrained
sample, such as a shadow, highlight, neutral, or pin, will update
the preview image in real time. This option should be checked except
for very slow (< 400 MHz) processors, or when system conditions
otherwise require a minimum use of CPU.
- 16 bit intermediate is not currently avaialble.
- Shadow and Highlight Targets are the shadow and highlight
values that are used, by default, in the image window for setting shadow
and highlight values via the right click menu.
Note: alternatively, you may define shadow
and highlight pins, and drag them onto the image to set shadow and highlight
values. .
- Shadow designates a default shadow value. It may be specified
in RGB, CMYK, wgCMYK, Lab, of HSB. Use % to denote ink percentages.
This shadow value is overridden if a pin is used as a shadow, and
that pin is used as the new default for subsequent shadow points
invoked via a right click on the image window.
- Highlight is similar to the shadow point, except that it
denotes the default highlight value.
