The Curvemeister class is a unique class that teaches the basics of using curves for color correction, as well as a variety of color correction techniques using Photoshop and Elements. It's a good way to get your feet wet with basic curve concepts, including how to determine the shadow, highlight, and neutral, and general enhancement of color using Lab mode corrections. Advanced procedures are also covered, including how to use color pinning to set a good skin tone. The class is a self paced web format, and includes discussion among students as well as individual responses from the instructor. It lasts six weeks, and includes examples and several images for you to work on each week. There are no requirements for taking this class. You will need access to a Windows system with Photoshop 5.5 through CS3, and Elements 1.0 through 6.0. The class will use the demo version of the Curvemeister plugin. Although curvemeister is used for the class, most of the techniques learned in the class can easily be used with Photoshop's built-in curves. A note to Macintosh folks - Curvemeister is a Windows program, and this class is not available for people who are using the Macintosh platform. It requires that you have access to Windows Photoshop or Elements, and the demo version of Curvemeister.
