Software consulting for windows and mac. Production and sale of software products and color correction classes at curvemeister, of which I am principal.

GE-Imatron 3/2003 - 3/2004

Continued work on deploying scanner software after GE's acquisition of Imatron.

Imatron Inc. 9/97 - 3/2003

I designed and implemented components of a networked medical imaging system for image reconstruction and scanner data organization. Worked on design and implementation of next generation of scanner software.

AccuImage Inc. 1/98 - 12/98

I implemented software for 3D volume rendering of CT image data.

The AG Group (now WiidPackets) 11/92 - 4/97.

I designed and implemented EtherPeek for Windows, a Windows 95 and NT version of AG's Mac-based EtherPeek packet analyzer, and SilverCloud, a Macintosh Chooser replacement. Both products received favorable reviews in several publications. I also provided back-up technical support for all of the company's Macintosh and Windows products. [more]

Novell, Walnut Creek Office 3/90-10/92

I added major improvements to HostAccess, a Macintosh TCP client, and designed and implemented a prototype Network management program. On the IBM PC I was tech lead for AppleTalk Print Services, a component of NetWare for Macintosh.

Pixar 6/87-2/90

I implemented the NeWS window system on hardware developed at Pixar. Tech lead for satellite image processing front end, implemented in PostScript. I also did image computer driver and system work on several UNIX platforms, including SUN and SGI.

Lucasfilm/DroidWorks 3/85-6/87

I wrote both ends of an Ethernet based datagram protocol, and UNIX driver work for the SoundDroid and EditDroid products.

Self-employed Game Developer 10/84-3/85

I reverse engineered the Atari 2600 video game system, and wrote a video game for that system.

U.C. Berkeley Computer Center 6/74-10/84

I designed and implemented UNIX kernel drivers and utilities including protocol, terminal, and printer devices. Worked as part of a team to solve unusual software and hardware problems that affected service to campus. Helped managed the Unix support staff.
