« on: July 25, 2010, 04:28:52 AM »
I need your valued assistance please.. I am installing CM3 demo but get the following error message: Registration of some of the ActiveX controls and/or Type libraries failed.... The following controls could not be registered C:\program files (x86) Curvemeister.com\Curvemeister_3demo\curvectl3.ocx.

I do have VB redistributables installed

Any suggestions will be appreciated

In Win7 you need to disable the user account control for the install of CM.  <known Issue that is being worked on>  If you re-install with the UAC turned off this should allow the control to register...If not post back and we will help you get it done through the regsrv32 process..

Thanks Greg, such a quick response was not expected!   I have turned off UAC by selecting " never", restarted but still get the error message on installation. Would appreciate further assistance  Regards

One way to do this is to manually register the OCX file.
Use a command window and at the prompt type "regsvr32 curvectl3.ocx"

This should register the ocx in the 32 bit space...
