another question on CS3

I have saved edited versions of photos in photoshop psd but I now need some photos to be exported to another file in jpeg. I cant figure out how do do this except to open each photo save as and then close again (I want to be able to keep my version in photoshop psd and just have another jpeg copy).
This is so slow I cannot believe it is the only way. In elements I just selected photos and I could then export in any format I chose is this still possible in CS3?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

File>>Scripts>>Image Processor. 

Should allow you batch process your images...
