Here's a summary of what needs to be done to make the action work on the Macintosh. profile plotter action

There are six steps that need to be replaced, four of the six steps are indicated with a red arrow in the enclosed image.

Each of these references the C: drive, which cause an error on the Mac because that pathname does not exist on the Mac.  Start by opening the action in Photoshop, and clicking on the indicated dialog option box for the six steps.  This will allow you to run the unmodified action while manually specifying a location to save the red, green, and blue displacement maps, and then loading each file in turn. You can use any file name for the maps, just load them in the same order you save them in.

Once you have that working, re-record each of the save commands as follows.  First create a dummy file and modify it.  This will enable the File>Save command, and allow you to record a save step.  Then click on each of the three save steps, click record, re-record the step to save to an appropriately named psd file (gradie_r, gradie_b, and gradie_g) on your drive.  After you record each new save step, delete the original step.  Do the same for the three load steps, referring to your new files.

Good luck, keep me posted on your results, and let me know if anything is not clear.
