This underexposed image has sufficient detail that each of you should be able to improve the image substantially by adding contrast and color in Lab. Hint: make start by treating this as a black and white image. Use Lab mode, or HSB. Make the curve window as large as possible, and make very fine adjustment to create a very steep curve in the shadows, while retaining, as always, as much highlight detail as possible. Once you have some reasonable detail in the face, your next challenges are getting a good neutral, adding color, and keeping the head ornaments from turning blue Do not expect this very challenging image to turn out perfectly.
